According TIOBE Programming index C is worlds most popular programming language followed by Java and C++. C has enjoyed a market of between fifteen to twenty percent for almost a decade. The main reason for C’s number one position is not C’s growth , but the decline of its competitor Java.

The popular search engines Google, MSN, Yahoo!, Wikipedia and YouTube are used to calculate the ratings. Observe that the TIOBE index is not about the best programming language or the language in which most lines of code have been written.

    well when C /c++ if neck 2 neck with java i wonder how all ppl say java is most demand in software industry n C ppl have less jobs
