How Much Windows Vista, in Windows7?

How Much Windows Vista, in Windows7? Is Windows7 will be a complete new operating system or just a modified version of Windows Vista? Microsoft has already confirmed that Windows7 is will be develop on top of the Windows Vista. Windows7 use the same architecture of Windows Vista. Microsoft is trying to build Windiws7 in such way that it won’t require any hardware to run and Windows7 is also enable applications and devices work properly with this new release of Windows that are working with previous version of Windows.

Microsoft is not creating any new Kernel for Windows7. The idea behind is that Microsoft has inverted a huge amount of money to develop a new Kernel architecture for Windows Vista. Windows has a very solid foundation as compare to previous versions of Windows operating system. Windows Vista Kernel has different subsystems like Graphics, Audio and Storage. Windows Server2008 and Windows Vista SP1 developed on top of same kernel and subsystem. As we can expect Microsoft will refine or modify some kernel modules for Windows7.

Windows7 may not have same compatibility issues that windows Vista has over the period of time.  Windows will be a transition operating system from Windows Vista. Microsoft is trying to develop Windows7 in such way that, transition process from Windows Vista to Windows7 is smooth and less painful for Windows users.

BlackBerry and iPhone are Now Targeted by Spammers

BlackBerry and iPhone are Now Targeted by Spammers Spammers are now targeting Smartphone’s like Blackberry and iPhone. Spammers are seeing these new Smartphone as a new market to spread spam messages. By the end of 2010 there will be around 1.3 Billion computers and 4 Billion Smartphone’s so it makes real sense to target these hand handled devices.  Spammers mostly use text messages to spread spam using Smartphone’s. Using Smartphone’s to spread spam messages is much costlier then sending E-Mails.

Neil Cook, vice-president of technology services for Cloudmark, a messaging security company, estimates that penetration of Smartphone needs to reach 20 per cent to 30 per cent before it becomes worthwhile for hackers to spread viruses. Spam is a problem in India and China, and North America and Europe are expected to follow.

Mr Cook said

The rise in spamming and scams boils down to economics. Spammers are really very good businessmen. They see new opportunities and new markets. As new media becomes attractive to spammers, they move in there. They will move anywhere if they can make a return on investment.

Smartphone Facts

  • 32.2 Million Smartphone’s were sold in first three month of this year.
  • 275 Million Smartphone’s will be sold in next year.
  • 4 Billion Will be there by year 2010

But their is a significant difference how people or organizations use computes for their usage. We can divide all type of computers to 10 categories.

Personal Computer (PC) : A personal computer (PC) is a computer whose original sales price, size, and capabilities make it useful for individuals, and intended to be operated directly by an end user, with no intervening computer operator. People generally relate this term with Microsoft’s  Windows Operating system. Personal computers generally run on Windows, Mac or some version of Linux operating system.

Laptop contains all the components of computer but all these are optimized for mobile users.

Personal Digital Assistants(PDAs): A personal digital assistant (PDA) is a handheld computer, also known as small or palmtop computers. Newer PDAs also have both color screens and audio capabilities, enabling them to be used as mobile phones (smartphones), web browsers, or portable media players. An Update on the Windows Roadmap

To: Windows Customers

From: Bill Veghte

Re: An Update on the Windows Roadmap

Today, more than 1 billion personal computers around the world run Windows. Over the years, Windows has been the catalyst for innovations that have transformed the way people communicate, access information, create and share content, and much more, at work and at home. Windows is the platform that most people use to get the greatest value and benefit from their personal computers. Windows is also the platform that brings together the broadest array of choices across PCs, devices and applications. To all of our Windows customers, thank you! To the hundreds of thousands of partners that develop millions of solutions for Windows, thank you.

Your experience and satisfaction are Microsoft’s top priorities. I wanted to take this opportunity to share some thoughts about Windows and to answer some questions you may have about Windows XP and Windows Vista.

There are three things I want to give you an update on:

  1. Our plans for Windows XP

  2. Our progress with Windows Vista

  3. Our view on Windows 7

The Future of Windows XP

With the June 30, 2008, "end of sales" date for Windows XP approaching, many people have asked me if they will still be able to get support for Windows XP. The answer is an emphatic "yes, you will continue to be supported." We recently released Service Pack 3 for Windows XP and we will continue to provide security updates and other critical updates for Windows XP until April, 2014. Our ongoing support for Windows XP is the result of our recognition that people keep their Windows-based PCs for many years and a reflection of our commitment to provide the highest level of support for all our customers.

The other question people ask is whether they will be able to buy PCs with Windows XP after June 30. The answer again is "yes." It’s true that we will stop selling Windows XP as a retail packaged product and stop licensing it directly to major PC manufacturers. But customers who still need Windows XP will be able to get it. For example:

  1. For businesses small to large, buying Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Ultimate provides the option to use Windows XP Professional through a customer benefit known as "downgrade rights." Downgrade rights are also available to all business customers that license Windows, such as Windows Vista Enterprise, through our Microsoft Volume Licensing programs. In addition, some of our OEM partners are planning to offer services designed to help business customers that buy these versions of Windows Vista on new PCs to exercise their downgrade rights. This is a great value because it lets you use Windows XP on new PCs today if you need it and then make the move to take advantage of the additional capabilities of Windows Vista when you are ready, without having to pay for an upgrade.

If you’re interested in learning more about how to get Windows XP Professional through downgrade rights, contact your favorite PC maker.

  2. As our next generation PC platform, Windows Vista has many advantages that make it the best choice for people who are buying a new Windows-based PC to use at home or in a small business. However, some small business customers may have applications that aren’t compatible with Windows Vista. In most cases, your software vendor should have an updated version of these applications. In the case that you still need Windows XP Professional as noted above, you can purchase Windows Vista Business or Windows Vista Ultimate on a new PC and then use downgrade rights until you are ready to upgrade to Windows Vista. When you are ready, you are "future proofed" since you already have a license for Windows Vista.

  3. For customers interested in buying a low-end personal computer (often referred to as a "NetBook" or "NetTop"), we are making Windows XP Home and Windows XP Starter available for use on these budget systems. Additionally, System Builders (sometimes referred to as "local OEMs"), may continue to purchase Windows XP through Authorized Distributors through January 31, 2009. All OEMs, including major OEMs, have this option.

Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Lyrics…….For your dear ones…

Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Lyrics.......For your dear ones...

Kabhi kabhi Aditi zindagi mein yuhi koi apna lagta hai.
Kabhi kabhi Aditi wo bichhar jaaye to ek sapna lagta hai.
Aise mei koi kaise apne aansu o ko behne se roke?
Aur kaise koi sochle everything’s gonna be ok?

Kabhi kabhi to lage zindagi mein rahi naa khushi aur naa mazaa.
Kabhi kabhi to lage har din mushkil aur har pal ek sazaa.
Aise mein koi kaise mushkuraye, kaise hasde khush hoke?
Aur kaise koi soch de everything’s gonna be ok?

Soch jara jaaneja tujhko hum kitna chahte hai.
Rotein hai hum bhi aggar teri ankhon mein aansu aate hai.
Gaane to aata nahi hai magar phir bhi hum gaate hai.
Ke Aditi maana kabhi-kabhi saare jahan mein andhera hota hai;
Lekin raat ke baad hi to sabera hota hai.

Kabhi kabhi Aditi zindagi mei yuhi koi apna lagta hai.
Kabhi kabhi Aditi wo bichhar jaaye to ek sapna lagta hai.
Hey Aditi Hasde hasde hasde hasde hasde, hasde tu zara.
Nahi to bus thora thora thora thora thora, thora mushkura.

Tu khush hai to lage ke jahan mein chhaayi hai khushi.
Suraj nikle baadlon se aur baatein zindagi.
Suun to jara madhosh hawa tujhse kehne lagi.
Ke Aditi wo jo bichhad-te hai ek na ek din phir mil jaate hai;
Aditi jaane tu ya jaane na phool phir khil jaate hai.

Kabhi kabhi Aditi zindagi mei yuhi koi apna lagta hai.
Kabhi kabhi Aditi wo bichhar jaaye to ek sapna lagta hai.
( Hey Aditi Hasde hasde hasde hasde hasde, hasde tu zara.
Nahi to bus thora thora thora thora thora, thora mushkura.

This song has some simplicity in it which keeps everyone dragging towards it…and as one might know…making things complicated is easy than making things simple… this is such a simple song, an easy tune  even simple instrumentation/orchestra…along with some really great lyrical support (true words man… each line has really good meaning to it), which ultimately brings a smile at the end on one’s face….

View 3D Models with Virtual Earth-3DVia

View 3D Models with Virtual Earth-3DVia Microsoft is working very hard to make their online services more powerful as well as more featured rich. In this series Microsoft has added 3DVIA (Beta) to its virtual earth that brings your ideas to life in 3D! Imagine, create and share 3D models within Microsoft Virtual Earth!

  • Imagine your own 3D models
  • Create a realistic visual experience in 3D within the Virtual Earth environment
  • Share your 3D models on the web

The video embedded at the bottom of this article comes to illustrate what 3DVia can bring to Virtual Earth 3D. End users are of course free to add their own content to Virtual Earth by using the software. But since Virtual Earth 3D is still in Beta mode, they should also expect to run at least into minor issues.

I haven’t seen many models built out, but what I’ve seen have been okay - just okay. If you have some sweet models that you’re proud of send the link to your collection. I had issues installing 3DVia to the point that 3DVia just rendered a black screen. My RAM had vanquished and I had to work in a subzero fridge so my CPU didn’t catch my paltry video card aflame

3DVia is a free download from Microsoft. You can get it on Live Search Maps when you click 3D in the navigation control (there’s an option while you install the 3D plug-in); or, download it directly from the Virtual Earth-3DVia Download Page.
