The list of top 50 places to work is featured from more than 11,000 companies operating in United States of America. According to Glassdoor top places to work General Mills is the best company to work for in the United States. Microsoft has removed the rouge Antivirus software program called Antivirus 2009 almost from 394000 computers. December’s version of the Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT), a free utility that Microsoft pushes to Windows users as part of Patch. Apart from the Antivirus 2009 some other rouge software programs are also removed by the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool including "Antivirus XP," "AntivirusXP 2008" and "Antivirus 2009".

Microsoft and Apple are promoting their operating system with their ‘I’m PC ‘ and ‘I’m MAC’ contests. Now Linux foundation is also joined them with ‘I’m Linux’ video contest. ‘I’m Linux ‘ video contest, Linux community members are invited to create video, expressing what Linux mean to them. The winner will receive a free trip to Tokyo, Japan to participate in the Linux Foundation Japan Linux Symposium in October 2009. Google has made a lot of improvement with Google Apps this year. Google Inc. has added a new feature that will enable users to find and access their Google documents direct from their desktop. The gadget has associated with a tool for drag-and-drop uploading documents to convert them to Google Docs. Finally Check Point has acquired the Nokia’s Security Appliance business. Nokia’s security appliance business provides purpose-built security platforms optimized for Check Point firewall, virtual private network (VPN) and unified threat management (UTM) software. On Wednesday, 17 December 2008 Microsoft has released an emergency patch to fix a security hole in its Internet Explorer software, The hole in Internet Explorer’s security may allow hackers to hijack Internet Explorer browsers and take over computers. MS08-078, This security update resolves a publicly disclosed vulnerability by modifying the way Internet Explorer validates data binding parameters and handles the error resulting in the exploitable condition. This security update is rated Critical for Internet Explorer 5.01, Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1, and Internet Explorer 7.
