Today Microsoft released Bing Map App SDK. With the help of this SDK developers can build map applications on top of Bing map and host them on Bing.com. Microsoft also launched “King of Bing Maps Challenge” contest for developers.
CONTEST DESCRIPTION
This is a skill-based Contest for the developer audience. The object of this contest is to use the tools available in the free Bing Map App Software Development Kit (“SDK”) to create a compelling and useful Map App to be included on the Bing Map App Gallery. For the purposes of this Contest, the Bing Map App that you create and submit in the Contest will be called an “entry.” All eligible entries received will be judged using the criteria described below to determine the winners of the prizes described below.
You can Submit your Map App by July 25, 2010 to be entered to win:
Grand Prize:Winner will get the royal treatment by receiving a $1,000 Bing Travel gift card and be celebrated as King of Bing Maps on the Bing Maps website and blog.
2nd Prize:$500 Bing Travel gift card
3rd Prize:$250 Bing Travel gift card
