iPod Touch: Apple has announced the new iPod Touch second generation which is really awesome with the great look and features. The new iPod Touch 2G has a new design with a chrome rim and a tapered back, similar to the iPhone, but it is thinner than before. The huge screen isn’t just for Coverflow or video viewing anymore-it’s for games and apps like a portable gaming device.

Some new features of iPod Touch 2G includes external volume control, integrated Nike+ with no transmitter needed and genius playlist creation. The touch 2G has built-in 820.11 b/g Wi-Fi support, and this means you have access to the Internet, via the Safari browser, as well as the Apps store and the iTunes Music Store. One bit of advice-if you’re downloading a larger app, like Spore, for example, it’s quicker to transfer it via computer (through iTunes) than over Wi-Fi. It’ll create a playlist based on one song, filling it with similar choices from your music library. This may sound amazing, and it’s certainly a nice touch, but Sony’s Walkman players have been doing the song categorization thing for a while now. watching video on the touch is the best viewing experience currently available on a portable media player. The glass screen is crisper, brighter, and larger than any other player out there.
iPod Touch Features
It is being sold for $229 for the 8GB, $299 for the 16GB, and $399 for the 32GB. Apple rates the audio battery life for the touch at 36 hours and at 6 hours for video, both of which are quite impressive times, considering the large, power-sucking screen.
iPod Nano: Apple chief executive Steve Jobs has launched a much thinner, curved iPod Nano music player, Mr Jobs introduced a curved aluminum and glass Nano – the best-selling iPod model – for $US149 with 8GB of storage, $US50 less than the preceding model, and a 16GB version for $US199, capable of playing back 24 hours of music or four hours of video. Offered in a wide range of colors (nine total) for both.Sometimes, we could all use a little unpredictability. And now you can shake to shuffle your music. Just give iPod Nano a shake and it shuffles to a different song in your music library. The Genius feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a Genius Playlist for you. iPod Nano comes with Maze, which lets you work your way through vast mazes by tilting and moving. You can find even more games on the iTunes Store.

iPod Classic: The 120GB iPod classic is now Apple’s only hard drive-based iPod model. All of the other offerings in Apple’s catalog use flash memory to store songs. And as flash memory density has increased steadily year after year (and as Apple has gobbled as much of the market’s NAND inventory as it can get), using a hard drive to store songs on a portable device has seemed increasingly anachronistic-it’s like putting a record player in a car. its a color screen and all of the capabilities of the iPod classic in a smaller, thinner package. Better for working out. Better to carry with you unobtrusively. The new iPod Classic will be offered in two models, one of them is the 120GB which will be sold for $249 in two colors, black and silver.
