Skype 2.8 for Mac will be available on Tuesday. It has some new features including screen sharing & an integrated Wi-Fi hot spot connector, ability to add your own notes to contacts, Sort and set priorities to chats in the Drawer. This new version will have excellent screen-sharing capabilities to the app’s voice, video, and chat communications features. Skype2.8 for mac means users will be able to run all four channels at once with acceptable performance.
Yahoo Internet giant plans to launch a social networking site made in India. Its a social networking site will launch this year for India. Yahoo officially said that “We will be launching our social networking platform SpotM this year”.
Yahoo already has Internet message boards like Yahoo Groups that allows users to post messages. Through this launch, the company wants to compete with hugely popular social networking platforms Orkut and Facebook.

The well known Chip-maker giant Intel has announced that it has created a new world record with revolutionary way of communication by using a new technology to create very high performing optical devices. This technology is called Silicon Photonics, based on silicon-based Avalanche Photodetector (APD), uses standard silicon to send and receive optical information among computers and other electronic devices. The use of Avalanche Photodetector (APD) will reduce the cost compared to other commercially optical devices.
