Dev Anand, the ‘Evergreen Romantic Superstar’ of Indian cinema, has passed away here in London on the night of 3rd December 2011 following a cardiac arrest. He was 88. Dev Anand, who had come here for medical check up, was not keeping well for the last few days, family sources told. He was better known as Dev Anand, was an Indian Hindi Cinema actor, director and film producer.

Dev was born Dharam Dev Pishori Anand on 26 September 1923 in Shakargarh Tehsil of Gurdaspur district (now in Narowal District, Pakistan) in undivided Punjab, British India to well-to-do advocate Pishori Lal Anand.

Donna Ferrar, Member New York State Assembly, honoured him with a "New York State Assembly Citation" for his ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Cinematic Arts Worthy of the Esteem and Gratitude of the Great State of New York’ on 1 May 2001.
In 2005, he was honoured with a "Special National Film Award" by the Government of Nepal at Nepal’s first NationIndian film festival in Stockholm.
In 2008 he was guest of honour at a dinner hosted by the Provost of Highland Council in Inverness, Scotland to celebrate 10 years since he first worked in the Scottish Highlands. He spent several days in the area, en route to Cannes, as a guest of the Highlands and Islands Film Commission.

A little over an hour after they arrived at the Abbey to be married, the couple emerged on a red carpet and onto the streets to a peal of bells and into a horse-drawn carriage, heading toward Buckingham Palace. The prince had married what the British call a commoner; now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (titles granted by Queen Elizabeth II). The couple stepped out onto a balcony a short time later to greet the enormous crowd along the Mall – a tradition at royal weddings. They kissed for the first time in public as a married couple as a cheer went up from the crowd.

Bankrupt & acquisition of US banks Verses hiring in Indian banks

Here I show you the comparison of the condition of banks in two different country. The largest banks of US have been acquired or filed for bankruptcy protection. Lets discuss about the some largest banks of US, Merrill Lynch & Countrywide Financial acquisition by Bank of America, the Bear Stearns acquisition by JPMorgan Chase, IndyMac Bank also has failed and the investment bank Lehman Brothers has filed for bankruptcy protection. In US only around 25 banks have been bankrupted due to recession, I will make it clear in my next post.

So lets talk about the Indian banks, Whereas the Indian banks has announced to hire around 50 thousands people for the various section.

Largest Indian Insurance sector, Life Insurance Corporation [LIC], managing director AK Das has declared that- LIC is going to hire more than 10k people till march 2009, we have 5000 vacancies for marketing and rest 5000 for administrative work positions.

India’s largest bank the “State Bank of India” has declared to hire 25000 professionals in this financial year-09. so the 20000 professionals will be recruited for clerical jobs & another 5000 jobs for the supervisor staff. SBI is also recruiting more than 1,300 customer relationship executives on contractual basis .

K.C. Chakravarti, chairman & managing director of Punjab national bank told – they need 2000 new recruitment in next four months for treasury, credit, corporate communication & also in marking field.

Bank of India will hire around 1,737 people this fiscal itself to man its expanding network. This include 500 officers, 500 clerical staff and 237 specialist officers in the next three to four months.

Union Bank has plans to recruit 5,000 people in the next five months for its new branches, its chairman M V Nair said, adding that the lender has plans to hire around 4,000 officers and 1,000 clerical staff this fiscal.

Bank of Baroda has planned to enhance its staff-strength by recruiting the addition of 1,950 people including 1,000 clerical staff till this march.

Rafael Nadal: All you need to know

For a teenage boy, being told you must choose between your love of football and talent in tennis would seem agonising – but Rafael Nadal has no reason to regret his choice.

The 22-year-old, born June 3 1986, was a gifted striker but his sacrifice of one game has paid off in another eight years on. His marathon match against Roger Federer on Sunday, which saw him become Wimbledon mens’ champion for the first time, is just his latest feat in the tennis world.

It was Nadal’s uncle Toni – the 6ft 1in left-hander’s only ever coach – that took the decision to encourage the young boy towards tennis, even though Rafael had longed dreamed of scoring goals for his adored Real Madrid.

But having made his choice, progress was rapid. Nadal turned professional in 2001, winning for the first time in a second-tier challenger event in Seville, aged just 15.

The following year he won his first senior match on the ATP circuit in his native Mallorca, becoming the ninth player in the Open era to win an ATP match before his 16th birthday.

Nadal made his entry into the rankings top 50 in 2003, triggered by his first ATP title, won the following year in Sopot, Poland, where he beat Argentinian Jose Acasuso in the final.

Nadal, at 18, then became the youngest player to win a Davis Cup singles match, his victory over Andy Roddick helping Spain beat the United States in the final.

In 2005, having won titles in Salvador and Acapulco, the Spaniard showed his clay-court ability as he claimed his first Masters Series event in Monte Carlo. That was underlined in June as he became the first man since 1982 to win the French Open title in his debut appearance, beating Argentinian Mariano Puerta in the final.

In August, a first hard court Masters Series title came in Montreal where he beat Andre Agassi and he capped off the year with a win over Croatia’s Ivan Ljubicic to win the Madrid Masters Series title for his 11th tournament triumph of the year.

In 2006, Nadal brought to an end Federer’s unbeaten run of 56 wins on hard court winning the ATP event in Dubai. He defeated Federer again in Monte Carlo Rome, where he equalled the professional era record of 53 consecutive clay-court wins, set by Argentinian Guillermo Vilas.

His third victory over Federer that year came in the French Open where he extended his unbeaten streak to 59 games but the Swiss took his revenge at Wimbledon.

2007 saw Nadal win his third consecutive Monte Carlo final, his 76 straight match win on clay and his third straight French Open.

However, Federer still managed to cause him upset after Nadal’s 81 unbeaten clay streak came to an end, the world number one also beating him in the Wimbledon final for the second year running.

Although beaten in the Australian Open semi-finals this year, his 6-1, 6-3, 6-0 thrashing of Federer to win a fourth successive French Open confirmed his supremacy on the brick dust as he became the fifth player to win a grand slam without dropping a set.

A humble, family man at heart, Nadal’s relationship with his family keeps him grounded amid constant attention from the media.The Spanish Tennis Federation wanted Nadal, at 14, to move to Barcelona – but despite the withdrawal of his funding he remained with his family as his parents paid his way. "I am lucky because my family are comfortably off. My father has his own glass business," he said. And despite his success and unarguable wealth Nadal still lives with mum Ana Maria, dad Sebastian and younger sister Maria Isabel in his home town of Manacor, Mallorca. "I have the same bedroom I’ve always had. It’s clean and tidy when I get home and after two or three days it gets messy and my mother nags me."

Nadal remains down to earth. "I let him [his dad] take care of my money now. He invests it in property and I concentrate on playing. I have no idea how much I am worth. "I have no interest in becoming a tax exile and living somewhere I don’t want to – I just want to be at home with my family."

Dennis MacAlistair Ritchie (born September 9, 1941) is an American computer scientist notable for his influence on C and other programming languages, and on operating systems such as Multics and Unix. He received the Turing Award in 1983 and the National Medal of Technology in 1998. Ritchie was the head of Lucent Technologies System Software Research Department when he retired in 2007.

Father of C++ Programming Language

Bjarne Stroustrup (born June 11 or December 30, 1950 in Aarhus, Denmark) is a computer scientist and the College of Engineering Chair Professor of Computer Science at Texas A&M University. He is most notable for developing the C++ programming language.Stroustrup developed C++ in 1979, in his own words, Invented C++, wrote its early definitions, and produced its first implementation. chose and formulated the design criteria for C++, designed all its major facilities, and was responsible for the processing of extension proposals in the C++ standards committee.Stroustrup also wrote what many consider to be the standard text for the language, The C++ Programming Language, which is now in its third edition. If we heard that Bill Gates is not going anywhere after June 30. 2008 and it’s not be a surprise. How Bill Gates can leave Microsoft in this situation, There much hyped operating system Windows Vista making life difficult for Vista users as well as for Microsoft. As we know that Bill Gates is the person who introduced the Windows operating system that changed personal computing completely. Let’s not forget, though, that Bill Gates built the world’s most important software company. He changed the way we work, play, and live. Given his power and popularity, I think it would be safe to assume that the man has an ego and a certain level of pride. Let’s Talk about some points Why Microsoft need’s Bill Gates for at least three to four years.

Gates cannot live with Vista being the legacy of his 30-plus years with Microsoft and as an industry icon. But Windows 7—if done right—is something he probably could live with. I think he’d love to have his fingerprints over what could be the last great, and maybe best, Windows ever. It’s not that Bill Gates isn’t already offering insight and guidance to the Windows team, but if he isn’t around as the launch date approaches, no one will remember or notice. Bill Gates leave the Vista development when the feature are dropped and he did not look back again to the development of Windows Vista and everyone knows that What blunder Microsoft has made. If he leaves Microsoft at this point of time who knows that Microsoft again make another operating system like Windows Vista. When Vista comes in the market Bill Gates didn’t seem as excited or as wistful as when his company launched Windows 95 in 1995 or XP in 2001. By then, I’m sure he knew that there was trouble ahead.

I think that Bill Gates was trying to dream into reality the possibility that he could have a major impact on a popular operating system we’d all be using soon. The reality is that we might see Alpha 1 of Windows 7 early next year, but don’t expect to see the full-blown product before 2011.
