Wolfram Research has developed Mathematica 7, its a new version that contains computational software for Mac OS X and other platforms. Mathematica is well known for science, engineering and technical computing from long time. Wolfram has developed more than 500 new functions in the new version named Mathematica 7.

Its a more improved version with lots of function includes image processing, parallel High Performance Computing (HPC) support, on-demand accurate data and other major functions. Mathematica 7 has come up with the list of improved functions for various fields  it contains  charting and 2D & 3D data information visualization; vector field visualization; spine support including NURBS;  statistical model analysis; discrete calculus, sequence recognition and transcendental notes, improved Boolean computation with special math functions, solvers, statistics libraries, import and export filters and more with the variety of computable data sources, including the complete human genome, weather, astronomical, GIS and geodesy data. Its new string alignment functionality improves Mathematica’s ability to find, analyze and visual gene sequences.For the Mathematica 7 the Mac version of the software requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and costs approximately $2,495,Its available in two version government and educational. Wolfram’s developed Mathematica 7 can automatically take advantage of multicourse processors in some cases, but users can also explicitly direct the software to run multiple tasks in parallel on separate cores too. Support for four cores is standard, but more can be used as well.

How to install Mathematica 7 on windows -

1. The Wolfram Mathematica Setup dialog appears on your screen. Click Next
2. By default, Mathematica is installed in the directory C:\Program Files\Wolfram Research\Mathematica\7.0.
3. Mathematica is configured to automatically install all optional components. Otherwise select or deselect according to your choice or requirement.
4. Click Next to add Mathematica shortcuts to the Start menu in the Wolfram Mathematica folder.
5. Now Click Install to install Mathematica after installation click finish.
6. Mathematica starts up and a dialog box appears. Enter your name, organization, and password
7. A registration dialog box appears. Click the Web button to open your web browser to your customized registration page
