SMS From Gmail is now Pulled Back
Last night Gmail team has rolled out a feature that will enable Gmail users to send SMS from the Gmail chat window. But Gmail team has pulled the feature that allows Gmail users to send free SMS From the chat windows for two weeks, according to Leo Dirac Gmail’s Product Manager
We thought about keeping it out there — bugs and all — but the experience wasn’t that great. So, in the spirit of Labs, we’ve pulled SMS chat back to fix it. and we’ll get it back out to you as soon as it’s ready — probably within 2 weeks, so stay tuned
