Tata Teleservices launched a unique product called “DIALOG”, that can convert your television set into a full fledged internet device. With this product customers can access internet without a desktop or notebook computer. The DIALOG comes with a set top box that directly connects to your television and enables you television with a web browser and photo viewing capabilities. This device also have four USB ports so you can connect with any USB device and watch movies and photos on your television set.
The DIALOG will be available in two options – with Photon Whiz at Rs. 6,699 and Rs.7,699 with Photon Plus. As of now, the service is restricted only to the Chennai and the Kolkata circles. It will see a gradual roll out across India in the months to come. Apparently, the current service is in the Test Run period and this would continue for the next three months.
TTSL national sales head Abhijit Sanyal said
We are launching the product first time in the country simultaneously in Chennai and Kolkata. We will take three months for the testing period and after that we will go for an all-India launch of DIALOG in the first quarter of FY11.
