280Slides is an notable replacement for desktop based presentation applications like Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Apple Keynote or any other desktop presentation applications. 280Slides is currently in beta but I am able to use this application to create some presentations. While using 280slides I don’t fid any difference whether I am using a desktop application or using an online application to create presentation.
Using 280Slides users can create presentations and they can also add images, video and shapes to their presentations. When you done with creating a presentation you can download it on PDF, PPT or PPTx format on your local computer or share it online with slideshare. Downloading presentations in PowerPoint or PDF format makes it really useful as compare to other online applications where users have to share the presentation with slideshare or GoogleDocs. The most important thing I liked about the 280slides is that most of the keyboard shortcuts are working very well with 280slides, so it gives a felling that we are using an desktop application instead of an online application. Overall 280Slides a very good application with having fundamental features for creating and sharing presentations, You won’t find any advanced features related to charts, styling, effects or collaboration
280Slides is developed in JavaScript not in flash as compare to other online applications. 280Slides uses Cappuccino, Cappuccino is an open source application framework for developing applications that look and feel like the desktop software users are familiar with.
