Cloud computing is the biggest technology shift in the market today, currently there is no service that show the status of clouds. Hyperic, a San Francisco based company has launched a new service, called “CloudStatus” that will help users to get the health and performance of most popular cloud services on the web. CloudStatus is independent service provides businesses utilizing the cloud critical perspectives needed to determine the cause of performance changes in their cloud-based web applications.

Amazon Web Service Health Summary

CloudStatus is a free service that provides real-time visibility into the infrastructure metrics that affect applications such as service availability, latency and throughput. Users can drill down for detailed, service-specific metrics on any of the monitored offerings.

Supported Clouds

The first release of CloudStatus BETA provides visibility into 5 key services of the world’s most popular cloud, Amazon Web Services. The five services are:

  • Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)
Amazon Web Service Elastic Computer Cloud(EC2)
  • Flexible Payment Service (FPS)
Amazon Web Service Flexible Payment Service(FPS)
  • Simple Storage Service (S3)
  • Simple Queue Service (SQS)
Amazon Web Service Simple Queue Services(SQS)
  • SimpleDB (SDB)

Hyperic plans to add additional cloud services this summer.
