22 reasons to not buy an iPhone
As I promised earlier, here is the extensive list of reasons for not buying the so-called revolutionary IPhone. Well, buying anything is perfectly a matter of choice, but still I would like to show you the real picture, apart from one showed to us by Steve Jobs. I would never recommend to take decisions based on any of our posts, but just want you to read it before taking any decisions, else you are bound to regret. Ok, enough of disclaimer stuff. Lets just list out the reasons, why IPhone is just a fake advertisement policy for Apple, rather than being a true revolution.
-
Lack of Dedicated Music and Call Keys :- Although, touch screen is good to use for the first time, but removing all physical buttons and replacing them with just one home key, is not a right way. While traveling, hard keys play an important role, to change the volume, skip song, end call, and many such things. With a touch screen, you are bound to look at the screen, even for changing volume.
-
No Flash and Java :- We are so used to download and install jar applications, that java support is a must for every phone. The list of available JAR applications, and flash applications, is humongous. Apple’s app store for iPhone can never compete with that. And why can’t we have this JVM on iPhone. What are Apple trying to do with making iPhone, locked for any external applications. Why aren’t there any lawsuits filed, like we saw in case of Microsoft, when they shipped IE with windows, and made it a default browser, to compete with Netscape.
-
2 year contract :- Means you are bound to your carrier for two years, if you have to use iPhone. Why? Is Apple trying to create a monopoly in cell phone market? Obviously against the laws. But why no cases are filed against Apple or their carriers in different countries. And who will make sure that carrier will not charge higher than usual tariff rates. Are you ready to pay thrice for all ISD calls, just to use iPhone?
-
Stupid touch screen keyboard :- Would you like to use a keyboard, in which every punctuation mark is hidden? Would you like to tap two keys every time you have to type a comma, or a full stop? No, I won’t. I would love to see a much better implementation of the touch keypad. Kindly, redesign the keyboard for better typing speeds.
-
Safari browser :- Clearly one of the worst browser ever made. Can’t I have Firefox for my iPhone. How many site developers do even think about compatibility with Safari, before writing a web page? And then, can you use a full desktop browser on a 4inch screen. Everything seems so tiny, that to read a full line, you have to zoom in at first half, read the line, zoom out, zoom in at the second half of the line, read it, zoom out again. Repeat that step for every line of text, and you can understand how would you feel after using Safari. Take me back to my mini browser, which can let you read the whole text without zooming in.
-
3G speed :- Sorry to say, but iPhone 3G works more like if we are using edge, as speed is way too slow than actual 3G standard. Nokia’s newly launched N96, can provide double the surfing speed of iPhone. And what more, 3G is not yet available in India, and even if you can wait for 1 year, to get 3G speeds, the rates are gonna be way too high to be actually useful.
-
Video Calling :- Steve Jobs stated a lot of times, that with 3G, video calling would be great. Thanks for the info, but we already know that. And what about your crappy product. Can I make a video call with half the speed of 3G and a camera at wrong side. Every device meant for video calling, has got a camera at front, specifically for the purpose. What about Iphone? Nope, no luck. Stand in front of a mirror, if you want to make a video call. Are you nuts, Mr. Steve Jobs?
-
Camera :- Compare the high end phones with Apple’s revolutionary crap, its camera is just there for name. Photo quality is poor in direct sunlight, while for shadows and night, no flash. When are you gonna use your iPhone as a camera? I think it may give you good enough results at least in studio lighting. And what about resolution? 2 mega pixels is minimum standard now, and can be easily found in any Rs. 4,000+ cell phone. What was the motto for such a low standard camera? Is it there, just to include the camera keyword in the iPhone’s feature list?
-
No voice-recognition :- So, you have got a revolutionizing phone, with blah blah features. Missing out the basic functionality isn’t good. Forget about voice recognition, even low-end phones support text to speech readout, but sadly your iphone can’t. After all its a mobile computing platform, a revolution.
-
No PDA functionality :- A smartphone with nothing usable for a enterprise user, wow that’s great. Many of the PDA features are missing. What about OTA synchronization? Even my Rokr E6 support it, but nope, iPhone can’t do that too. What if I lost my iPhone? Can I even lock it permanently? Nope. Sorry.
-
No copy paste :- So, you have got a link, that you badly needed, sent by a friend as an sms. Now what? Copy and paste the URL in browser, like what you can do in any smart phone (and even in my Rokr E6). Nope, you can’t even think of that in case, you are using iPhone. Our king of smart phones, doesn’t even allow copy paste. What if, you have written some 2 pages of notes, to post in your blog later. Oh man, you have to type that all over again. So sad, really, after knowing that you are using the most hyped phone in world.
-
Bluetooth :- Is it your property, Mr. Jobs? Why the hell are you using it like if its your own connectivity protocol? Why can’t I use Bluetooth for anything other than connecting headsets? Why can’t I have an option to share my photos with my friends? Why can’t I copy music from my PC using Bluetooth?
-
Battery Life :- IPhone’s battery was good enough, but what about iPhone 3G? It lasts for 70% usage time than iPhone. Just 4 hours of video playback is not what we expect from any phone of that standard. And why can’t I have an spare battery, just in case, I run out of battery. Am I supposed to take my charger, and a power supply, every where I go.
-
Call Dropping :- Dropping speeds while surfing, is ok. But dropping a call whenever signal is a bit weaker, is simply disgusting. The call clarity is the weakest of all smart phones, and even mid-range phones. What’s the use of your crappy phone, which can’t even make decent calls.
-
No Radio :- IPhone is for music too. But without FM, how can it be called a true music phone? Are you gonna store the whole of your music in just 16gb space, and what about the cost of buying each and every song?
-
Syncing with PC :- Why do I have to use iTune for copying music files from PC? What purpose does it serve? I guess nothing, just a way to say, use our iTune player, because we are superior. And why can’t I use that 16 GB space to store PDF files, or as a USB mass storage device? Is that 16gb space just for music only? And how is it a smartphone, if you can’t save a PDF file in your phone?
-
App Store :- Why should I pay a hell lot of money, for every stupid application? All other phones support un trusted third party application, but not your iPhone. Why? And even if I buy applications from App Store, I can run only one application at a time. What if I need to play a game, while watching a stored FLV video? Nope, you can’t. Even after paying 20$ for two applications (one game, and a FLV player), you can’t use both of them.
-
No video recording :- Can anyone in this world, including the great Steve Jobs, answer this question? Why can’t I record a video? Is it anyhow illegal to record a video and share it with your friends? Don’t worry, I will not record MMS of my girlfriend licking my thing and post it on eBay (read DPS MMS scandal). And what you want me to do? Buy a digital camera for video recording, along with your iPhone? Is this what you meant when you said, iPhone is a great convergence device.
-
Screen luminance :- Sorry to say, but iPhone has got a wonderful screen, completely invisible in daylight. A screen with multi touch support, high resolution, nice color contrast, but can be used only while indoors. Isn’t that something, which only Steve Jobs can call great feature?
-
No yahoo maps :- Why only Google Maps? Was there any kind a deal Apple signed with Google? Why can’t I use yahoo maps? At least in India, Yahoo Maps are much better than Google Maps.
-
No anti virus :- Do i need to say anything about the requirement of a good anti-virus software?
-
High Pricing :- Already said a lot about it in the earlier post.

Though there are a few valid points in this post, there are many more to be ridiculed. I suggest you research a bit more before writing such stuff. Apple fans (including myself) can be a cruel bunch if you write nonsense.
>>No Flash and Java
May come to iPhone without support of Apple (as apps)
>>Lack of Dedicated Music and Call Keys
That’s like saying you hate a Ferrari because it isn’t a 5 seater. Such minor problems aren’t really enough to cause anyone nags. Though some things that you mention are genuine, like video recording…
>>No anti virus
For what? mac os x has fewer viruses than you have fingers.
>>App Store
The whole point of not allowing multiple tasks is to increase battery life and provide a streamlined experience. I guess you don’t get it
>>Battery Life
Tell me one modern digital device that has enough battery life. The last I can remember is non-color display phones, which aren’t exactly modern.
>>Safari
Show me a version of Firefox for OS X that is as good as Safari on OS X. As for compatibility, developers and web apps already have iPhone only versios because it is worth the effort.
>>Stupid touch screen keyboard
Once you get used to it, you would hate using crappy old Crackberries or whatever. It is just another input method, which takes time to adjust to. I doubt if you have even used an iPhone, seeing many points in this post.
>>2 year contract
If it is against the law, why didn’t anyone sue Apple? It is their phone, they choose to tie it to an operator so you can get it for $200 in USA and elsewhere. Can’t live with it? Don’t buy one, don’t even think/write about iPhones.
>>3G speed
That is your operator’s fault.
>>Video Calling
Do you do video calling every day on your N96? Sheesh-kebab.
>>Camera
iPhone isn’t about camera, for that matter, a 5 MP camera can beat every other camera phone out there, so you’re probably better off with a camera+iPhone.
>>No voice-recognition
Seriously, voice recognition is in its infantcy, and Apple doesn’t like including half-baked technology.
>>Call Dropping
Do you live in Amazon forest? Get a life.
>>High Pricing
If you want it dirt cheap, get a Motorola/Nokia. I’m sick of people saying “India is a developing country and hence people shouldn’t spend so much money”. Such people should probably look around in their homes to see all those stuff that cost more than the iPhone.
Besides, the high price is partially because we don’t have a one-operator exclusivity in India.

Have you ever used an iPhone? You don’t have to look at the screen to change the volume - there’s a rocker switch on the side of the phone. Also, skipping tracks and pausing the music can be done by the clicker on the headphones cable. Secondly, the two year contract only applies in the USA - here in the UK, you are tied to an 18 month contract, which is near universal for any decent phone, unless you want to pay a lot of money for the handset, and get less minutes and text messages.
As for the criticisms you make about the safari zoom function, you’re completely wrong here; you don’t need to zoom in and out, but rather can click to zoom in, then drag the page around with your finger, so you can easily read the smallest things. Further to this, if you want Firefox that’s fine, but that’s not down to Apple - if Firefox wants to develop an iPhone version (which I suspect is pretty far down their list of priorities) then they could do so, and release it through the App Store for free - or even charge for it if they wanted to.
3G speed is down to the networks, rather than the phone itself. I’ve had no problems here in the UK with the 3G speed and, in fact, it seems rather faster than my dedicated T-Mobile 3G dongle I use with my laptop. Obviously it’s going to depend where you are, and how good the signal is, but I’ve not had any problems in London.
The camera? I find it great. I use it several times a day for quick snaps of things when I’m out and about, and the photos are clearer and have better colour balance than my previous camera phone, which was a Sony Ericsson. Again, your mileage may vary, but the camera isn’t the reason I got the iPhone. It’s nice to have, but without it, I wouldn’t particularly miss it.
No PDA functionality?! You are kidding, right? You’re aware that enterprise support for Exchange was specifically built into the new iPhone, right?
Call dropping - again, I’ve had no problems here. Maybe you need to talk to your network provider? If you’re really having problems, put your iPhone into field test mode - *3001#12345#* - and have a look at the data you’re getting from your cells.
No Radio? I don’t think I’ve *ever* owned a phone with radio. Again, it’s just not on my priority list. I think perhaps you’re expecting the iPhone to have every feature possibly available on a phone, which is just ridiculous. It’s interesting, though, that you have such high expectations of Apple - clearly they are a company that has enormously impressed you with just how high quality and feature-packed their products generally are.
Storing files on your phone - you can do this! You just need to download an app to do it. But I guess maybe you don’t like that, since you’re so against the app store…
The App store - developers set their own prices; why should you expect to get something that someone has put a lot of effort into for free? Many developers are getting good payments through selling their apps in the app store, and their talent is being rewarded - handsomely, by many many people who are perfectly happy to pay the tiny prices the apps are sold for. Most of the apps I’ve installed are between £0.59 and £3.99 - no more than the price of a sandwich and cup of coffee. If it’s too expensive for you, maybe you’re better saving your money and buying one of the other phones where the applications are free (but aren’t approved by the manufacturer, and could wreak merry hell with your phone - or carry viruses, and worse).
Screen Luminance - again, I’m beginning to think that you’ve maybe not even used an iPhone when you say that it is completely invisible in daylight. With the brightness turned up to max it’s incredibly easy to read, even in direct sunlight on the sunniest days in the middle of summer. I know, because I’ve spent a lot of time outside, looking at google maps in the middle of summer on it.
No yahoo maps? Take it up with Yahoo. They could very easily release a free app to let you use Yahoo maps.
No Anti Virus - do you need to say anything about the requirement of a good anti-virus software? I don’t know. Do you? There aren’t any viruses out in the wild for OS X which is what the iPhone is based on, and all the apps sold go through the App Store, which is meant to check their integrity, so yeah, I don’t think you DO need to say anything about the need for good anti-virus software, because it’s not necessary.
Maybe next time you write something, you should get a handle on the facts BEFORE you start (incorrectly) ranting!

While you do have many valid points, your article is significantly weakened by many striking errors.
“With a touch screen, you are bound to look at the screen, even for changing volume.”
There is a dedicated volume rocker on the iPhone…Although your complaints about a touch screen are yours to make, basing it on the lack of a dedicated hardware volume control is inaccurate.
2 year contract
A fair complaint, but nearly every phone is the same way. Looking at a comparable phone, the Blackberry Bold is $399 with a contract and $1,000 without!
Safari browser :- Clearly one of the worst browser ever made.
First of all, browsers should be pluralized, but aside from grammar nazi comments, the Safari browser is highly lauded and the browser to beat in mobile browsing. This is one of the things that give the iPhone a major edge over competitors such as the Samsung Instinct. While it’s true that Safari has a smaller portion of users as a desktop browser, a good developer has mostly browser agnostic design habits. Lastly, Mobile Firefox would be great, but it simply doesn’t exist. Yell at Mozilla for that one, it’s not the iPhone’s fault that the Mozilla team haven’t released yet.
Camera :- Compare the high end phones with Apple’s revolutionary crap, its camera is just there for name.
Ok, while the camera is not fantastic and I can at least understand your point here, it is not completely true. Look again at one of its main competitors, the Blackberry Bold and it also has a 2.0 MP camera. Another rival, the Samsung Instinct has…a 2.0 MP camera. So while it clearly doesn’t have the best camera of any phone on the market, it is no slacker when pitted against its competitors.
No PDA functionality :- A smartphone with nothing usable for a enterprise user, wow that’s great.
Have you heard about the iPhone 2.0 software? It added functionality for OTA syncing with Exchange or Apple’s newly released MobileMe. It also includes a mobile wipe in case it falls into the wrong hands.
No Radio :- IPhone is for music too. But without FM, how can it be called a true music phone?
How many smartphones have FM built in? I don’t know of any, but I don’t claim to be an expert. While this would be a nice feature, the extra bulk that it would likely add would turn many users off from it. If you want radio, check out some free apps like Pandora or AOL Radio or last.fm which all offer free streaming music over EDGE, 3G, or WIFI.
Syncing with PC :- Why do I have to use iTune for copying music files from PC?
I’d rather use iTunes which is available on Mac or PC for free than have to buy a piece of software like Missing Sync in order to be able to sync my phone. I needed it to sync my old Windows Mobile phone and it was expensive and slow. iTunes consistently workes well and is free for both PC and Mac users.
App Store :- Why should I pay a hell lot of money, for every stupid application?
Most of the apps sold on the App Store are free! You don’t have to pay a hell of a lot of money for every stupid application!
No anti virus :- Do i need to say anything about the requirement of a good anti-virus software?
Why would this be a complaint? If there were a need for anti-virus software and it were disallowed then I suppose I’d understand, but having a well constructed system that stays virus free without third party software sounds pretty good to me!
High Pricing :- Already said a lot about it in the earlier post
I already addressed this above as well, but again given the feature set that is provided and the pricing of its competitors, the iPhone is extremely well priced.
While you’re certainly entitled to your own opinion, half of your reasons are either factually wrong or inaccurate. I’d suggest doing your research next time you write an article…

Interesting thoughts
I mean both the article and the comments
August 27th, 2008 at 1:33 am
Hey you both commentators above me, just don’t be crazy as you might be having an iPhone.
Everybody is aware of the fact that until iPhone reaches India, most of the features don’t work.
No 3G, 2 MP camera, and there are a lot of other features that are not working in India. So why to buy that no-sense phone for Rs. 31000 and Rs. 36100?
I had opened an online petition against Airtel and Vodafone, and lets see how it goes when i send the letters to both of them - http://www.thewwwblog.com/open-letter-to-airtel-vodafone-iphone-is-overpriced.html

@Sumesh,
Another point made that Apple fan boys never agree to any thing. Your point is like get used to the device and everything works fine, thats ridiculous.
“Tell me one modern digital device that has enough battery life.” completly disagree this, dont argue that battery life is not important, its the most important thing when it comes to mobile, will you get a laptop which is the msot modern and will give you only half an hour on battery?
iPhone isn’t for any features it lacks, its only for Apple fans, thats the conclusion I can get from your statement.
iPhone is rightly priced? You mean to say that in your last statement? Can’t stop laughing.
iPhone is worth only for a 15k or max 18k with its features, who care the under lying technology.
I’m also sick hearing the hype of iPhone! waste of money for 36k.
August 27th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
Ok, guys. You will never understand the facts, cuz you are way too into hype. For your information, I have used Iphone for 1 week (exchanged it with my friend for moto rokr e6), and all the points mentioned above are my own experience except 3G. Well, for all those apple fan boys, few answers to your concerns :-
@Sumesh
>>No Flash and Java
May come to iPhone without support of Apple (as apps) >> Do you mean that you are ready to pay for every application instead of downloading it for free, and do you have ever checked getjar.comand their extensive list of apps available. Can Apple ever compete with that?
>>No anti virus
For what? mac os x has fewer viruses than you have fingers. >> Are you kidding? Number of viruses doesn’t matter. Even a single virus is enough to give you enough shit. And tell me, who is gonna stop me from accessing malicious sites, and screwing up my precious phone and data.
>>App Store
The whole point of not allowing multiple tasks is to increase battery life and provide a streamlined experience. I guess you don’t get it. >> Do you have ever used any PDA, except your stupid Iphone. Every single PDA allows multiple third party apps. And it doesn’t affect battery life anyway. I am an I.T. graduate, and do have enough idea about multi tasking. May be you should first read what exactly it is, and how it is implemented in Linux.
>>Battery Life
Tell me one modern digital device that has enough battery life. The last I can remember is non-color display phones, which aren’t exactly modern. >> Not allowing multi tasking to increase battery life, and still iphone’s battery goes down first when competed with other PDAs. And yeah, your point is that, no device has got enough battery. But for other PDAs, you can have a spare battery, in case you need it. Can you do that in Iphone?
>>Stupid touch screen keyboard
Once you get used to it, you would hate using crappy old Crackberries or whatever. It is just another input method, which takes time to adjust to. I doubt if you have even used an iPhone, seeing many points in this post. >> Do you have even read the post completely? I clearly mentioned that the issue is the way it is implemented. My Rokr E6 also has got touch pad only, and I love that one. Atleast I can type email id’s at one go. Can you do that in Iphone? Getting used to, is not an issue here. I am already using touch pad for a year. Got my point, mr. apple-shit lover.
>>2 year contract
If it is against the law, why didn’t anyone sue Apple? It is their phone, they choose to tie it to an operator so you can get it for $200 in USA and elsewhere. Can’t live with it? Don’t buy one, don’t even think/write about iPhones. >> Sorry, but you can’t stop me from writing about Iphone. No law can. And about filing case against Apple, that’s exactly what I asked for. Why do we have seen so many lawsuits against Microsoft, when they tried creating monopoly? Cuz, it was against the law, and it still is against the law, only if you know what a law is.
>>3G speed
That is your operator’s fault. >> Tested for same operator with Iphone and other PDAs. Speed is nearly half of actual 3G speed. Any answers for that? Also, network strength for different Iphones at same place is different. Try it out with some other shit-lover friend of yours, and check whether you two guys get same signal everywhere. LOL
>>Call Dropping
And whenever you are at a place with just 50% network strength, call dropping is more frequent in Iphone. And what about clarity? I was not able to hear my friend’s voice on the other side of phone, while in my office. Do you call your office, a jungle? Well I don’t.
Do you live in Amazon forest? Get a life. Atleast I don’t live on my carrier’s satellite.
>>Camera
iPhone isn’t about camera, for that matter, a 5 MP camera can beat every other camera phone out there, so you’re probably better off with a camera+iPhone. >> Well in that case, I have a better choice, if I have to juggle with a lots of gadgets everytime. What about a Moto Rokr E6, which is much better in every aspect than iphone, except music, and a Cowon’s PMP? Can your stupid Iphone/Ipod, match that brilliance of Cowon? Or what about a basic phone, a PMP, a camera, a GPS? This is what Mr. Jobs and you guys meant when you said “Iphone is a great convergence device”? Better buy a dictionary, dude.
>> Do you have even checked the Indian pricing? Why should we pay four times? Just because Iphone is developed in your country? And why in Japan, its so cheap? Do those guys in Japan, licked your asses to get iphone at cheaper rates? I always said, we will pay exactly the same price as in U.S. or any other country. What’s wrong? We arenot asking for subsidy. We are just asking for fair pricing. 200 dollar equals 8,700rs. That’s all I know. Ok, being an import, we can pay you 10,000 max., but 31,000 is totally shit. And yeah, i don’t like any fucking asshole, saying anything about my country. Technology understands no boundaries. Got that, kiddo.

@SAm
And have you ever tried copying files directly, or using “Send To” option?
>> I don’t like to own every music I listen to. And with so slow network speeds in India, internet radio is no choice. We use FM on a daily basis to get an idea about the newly released album, before buying it. Can we do that in Iphone?
The camera? I find it great. I use it several times a day for quick snaps of things when I’m out and about, and the photos are clearer and have better colour balance than my previous camera phone, which was a Sony Ericsson. Again, your mileage may vary, but the camera isn’t the reason I got the iPhone. It’s nice to have, but without it, I wouldn’t particularly miss it.>> I use Moto Rokr E6 these days. And I can say, that its far better than Iphone’s camera. Also, camera quality is not measured in terms of megapixels, if only you have an idea about that. Whatever you are talking about is very basic thing. I do read photography magazines, and do know how to compare camera quality. You wanna know more about those tests, kindly read “Better Photography”.
No PDA functionality?! You are kidding, right? You’re aware that enterprise support for Exchange was specifically built into the new iPhone, right? >> I think you have not even used any PDA. A PDA is not just about Exchange support or synchronisation. Have you ever tried handwriting recognition, text to speech, contact forwarding, video calling, OTA sync, etc. Well you should try those features first, before commenting next time.
>> Are you gonna keep the brightness on Max, everytime? Nope. Can’t I have an option to increase luminance on the go, whenever necessary. My Moto Rokr, supports that.
Oh, come on guys. I am fed up with comparing my Rokr E6 with Iphone. Iphone is just a peice of shit in comparison of Rokr. And what more, it costs just 30% of Iphone’s price in India.

@Victor
Safari browser :- Clearly one of the worst browser ever made.
First of all, browsers should be pluralized, but aside from grammar nazi comments, the Safari browser is highly lauded and the browser to beat in mobile browsing. Yell at Mozilla for that one, it’s not the iPhone’s fault that the Mozilla team haven’t released yet. >> Safari in Iphone is a desktop browser and not the mobile version. And if only you know, Mozilla Firefox 3 is also a desktop browser. So, your point is totally invalid. And yeah, I am not saying that Safari is a bad choice, based on my perception. This is what all the test results and statistics shows.
>> Again the same Megapixel crap. Hello, do you even know that, mega pixels are just a measure of resolution, and not the quality.
No PDA functionality :- A smartphone with nothing usable for a enterprise user, wow that’s great.

How many times do you have used copy paste in your comment only? Can you do that with Iphone? You can’t live without copy-paste, can you?
No anti virus :- Do i need to say anything about the requirement of a good anti-virus software?
Why would this be a complaint? If there were a need for anti-virus software and it were disallowed then I suppose I’d understand, but having a well constructed system that stays virus free without third party software sounds pretty good to me! >> Do you mean that iphone is invincible for any kind of hack? Come on. Jail breaking the iphone is nothing but a hacking technique into its security features. I have access to Root user for iphone. What else do i need to steal your information? High Pricing :- Already said a lot about it in the earlier post
I already addressed this above as well, but again given the feature set that is provided and the pricing of its competitors, the iPhone is extremely well priced. >> If that’s the case, why is iphone priced $200 in U.S. and $750 in India.? And if you are talking about subsidy, even without that, unlocked iphone costs just $599 in U.S., while in India, for $750, you get a locked phone. Is it what you call a competitive pricing? Blackberries, cost nearly the same as unlocked iphone in U.S., while in India, they cost way too less than Iphone. Obviously, at $200 or even at $300, iphone is a steal. But for, $750, its a trick played to get profit of the hype. What say?
I think, I do have answered every question of yours. I am not saying that Iphone is too bad. Its good, if compared with mid range phones, but calling it a highly sophisticated phone is totally stupid. Its nothing, but a compromise with usability to get the showoff value, just like the Mac Book Air. Apple is just trying to create enough hype, for its product, and everyone is buying them, even without knowing that they are actually paying much more than what they should.

hey, I use motorola
Iphone is very expensive, but its feature is just like a beautiful woman who can not do anything. Exciting finger control is just a toy for baby who make anyone never seen widing there eyes.
I agree with every reasons above.

I think the iPhone is overhyped.
No mms support, no sms forwarding. I think it’s missing the basic phone features. I think it’s just a good mobile computer, with the phone capabilities put in as an extra.
