Fact about Friendship Day

Hi guys. 3rd August is the Friendship day. Like if I am telling you that its such a big news. Anyways, just wanna wish you all a Happy FriendShip Day. Thanks for being a part of Readeszone. Why I am wishing you happy friendship day is simply because, we the authors of Readerszone, think that all our readers are our friends. You helped us grow since the beginning of this blog, you gave us your valuable comments, your feedback and suggestions. We feel like we owe you all a lot. So, we whole-heartedly thank you all for being with us, and wishes you a very happy friendship day. But, wait don’t you think that I have not written this post just to wish you a happy friendship day, So, guys here are some interesting facts about this day.

In year 1935, US Congress announced first Sunday as the International Friendship Day.
For women, there is a special friendship day too. It is celebrated every third Sunday of the September.
Apart from a day, friends have got a weekend in their name too. Best friend’s weekend is celebrated from June 23 to June 25th.
International Friendship month is February.
Winnie the pooh, was announced as Ambassador of friendship, in year 1997.

The importance of friends in life, is also depicted in Bible at places. According to Bible,

“Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:13-15
