MSN Messenger for Mac 7 is now available for download from Microsoft website.Messenger for Mac 7 is an integrated communications client that enables you to communicate with contacts within and outside your organization. Messenger for Mac 7 is a Universal application that is built to run on both PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macs and makes it easy to take advantage of the full power of real-time communications. It’s final non beta release but the final version of MSN Messenger for Mac 7 doesn’t bring much of the changes from the current version MSN Messenger.
If your company has Office Communications Server 2007 and Messenger for Mac 7 installed within your corporate network, you can participate in face-to-face meetings with co-workers in other cities, countries, or on Windows PCs using multi-party audio and video conferencing.
For corporate users, increased support for Office Communications Server 2007 makes it easy to search a corporate address book from within Messenger and quickly find internal contacts and their presence information. With corporate users each having an account on your corporate network, communications are more protected.
Thanks to Mac OS X Bonjour instant networking technology, people will be able to see if you’re on the local network. New “presence” enhancements in Messenger for Mac 7 include the ability to add a personal message to your contact information, so co-workers will know more about when you’re available to chat.

hey,
i really would like to know why maybe my corporate contacts is not allowing me to sign in. i downloaded msn messenger 7.0 for mac os x, and everything seems to be working good so far, and the personal chat is working fine. when i try to log into corporate contacts, it will not allow, even with correct password and all.
do you know maybe what it is, or could help….and also, im not great at computers.. thank you very much for you time. any feedback is appreciated.

I’m glad to know somehow that I am not the only one with this problem(That states twice above)…however WOULD like to know how to resolve it! Thanks for any input!

I totally agree. I really want to use the webcam.. but it’s only on the corporate contact list, which creates a great inconvencience because I CANNOT LOG IN!!!! grrrr..

Can someone please explain to me why can I only use the personal contact and not being able to use the corporate contact with is wider variety of features? basically i want to activate my corporate contact instead of my personal plz help

I simply can’t understand why Microsoft is always trying to demotivate Apple-users.
After a long time of discontinuation they make Messengers for Mac again. But where there clones Mercury and aMSN have cam-support, Microsoft misses the opportunity to win back this segment. Mercury and aMSN are sluggish compared to Microsoft MSN and I’m really happy to find out that I’m finally able to see and store my contacts’ custom-emoticons, but why does only the corporate contacts part of the application have cam-support.
Bad judgement from Microsoft?

It’s quite understandable that Microsoft saves extra features for paying consumers. but the internal logic of videoconferencing is already there, in te application.
Why not please the domestic users with the ability to have 1-on-1 video, and endulge the corporate users with the possibility of online video conferencing for up to 20 people.
Ofcourse this would be nice for some domestic users but we cannot have it all. Can we?
But could we at least have cam-support?

For all the comments above on people who can’t use webcam with this messenger, you can always use aMSN. Its not as good quality but you can use webcam (:

as everybodie else i am having problems sign in into corporate msn and it is turning very upsetting. I accept any help on how to be able to use it. by the way is it amsn a good program?

aMSN is an okay program, in my experience too sluggish.
I prefer Mercury Messenger over aMSN, but that’s personal.
When you want to enjoy real MSN-messenger and cam on a mac? I suggest using Microsoft Messenger and SquidCam (on the side). Only downside is… your conversationpartner must be running SquidCam as well.

it wont let me have profile pictures what do i do??? theres currently no picture of my display picture and if i try to change it they say the picture is not in a picture format and it is!
