What’s the biggest problem for Microsoft in Internet search market is the brand name that Google has created. People think like this “Google = Search”. Microsoft doing a lot of thing to create its brand in search engines but not able to create a brand like Google has. Most people think that Microsoft search engine name is “MSN”, most of them don’t know about the “Live Search”, that’s Microsoft search engine to compete with Google search.
Same problem I think Yahoo also facing. One thing that Google do and other companies don’t do is that Google has created its brand by doing some really amazing things while rest of them created their brand name by investing a lot of money in advertising, sponsoring events and doing a hell lot of things. You never find that Google is sponsoring any event.

With my new blog theme I have directed all my blog and comments feeds to FeedBurner. I am sharing my experience how I have directed all my WordPress feeds to FeedBurner Feeds.
To get best out of FeedBurner is direct all your WordPress blog feeds to FeedBurner, but how to do that? Google recommend the FeedBurner FeedSmith plug-in (originally authored by the legendary Steve Smith). The plug-in will detect all ways to access your feed (e.g. http://www.yoursite.com/feed/ or http://www.yoursite.com/wp-rss2.php, etc.), and redirect them to your FeedBurner feed so you can track every possible subscriber. It will forward for your main posts feed and optionally, your main comments feed as well.
FeedSmith plug-in is compatible from WordPress version 1.5 to 2.5.
FeedSmith plug-in also offer blogger’s to add comment subscription to FeedBurner account.

For the first time Microsoft has offered an offline campaign management for Ad-center customers, in response to customer requests to have the ability to bulk manage their Ad-Center accounts quickly and easily with an offline tool from a Desktop application which can be uploaded to an Ad-center account.
President of Microsoft Platform & services division, Mr. Kevin Johnson has mentioned this new tool called the Ad-center Desktop Beta.

Most Computer manufactures don’t give you the Windows Vista installation DVD, instead of this they provide a partition called as “Recovery Disc”, that users can use to install,repair or reinstall Windows Vista. Windows Vista DVD has one “Recovery Center” that can be used to recovering your computer via automatic recovery (it also fix the problems, while recovering the system),rolling-back to a system restore point, recovering a full PC backup, or accessing a command-line recovery console for advanced recovery purposes.
Microsoft has work towards this problem and made a recovery dick for this purpose. This Windows Vista recovery disc can’t be use to install or reinstall Windows Vista, but main purpose of this disc is that, it servers as Windows PE interface to recover Windows Vista. More advanced user can also use Microsoft WAIK kit to perform unattended Windows installations, capture Windows images with ImageX, and create Windows PE images.

Microsoft has released version 4.5 of it’s Windows installer and windows user can download it from Microsoft Download center. Microsoft has also released Windows Installer Development kit for Developers and Documentation on MSDN website. This Windows Installer update is only means for you, if you are a developer otherwise end user won’t have to worry about this update unless and until it’s available on windows update website or some software installer ask you to update your version of Windows Installer.
The Microsoft® Windows® Installer (MSI) is the application installation and configuration service for Windows. These download packages will update the version of Windows Installer on your system to version 4.5.

Multiple Package Transaction
In a multiple package transaction, you can create a single transaction from multiple packages. In a multiple package transaction, a chainer is used to dynamically include packages in the transaction. If any of the packages do not install as expected, you can roll back the installation.

You can embed a custom user interface (UI) handler in the Windows Installer package. This makes a custom UI easier to integrate. You can also invoke an embedded UI handler from the Add or Remove item in Control Panel. Or, you can invoke an embedded UI handler during a Windows Installer repair process.

Google is working very hard to improve and add more-and-more new features to its online office suite. Recently GoogleDocs team has added one very good feature in their Spreadsheet that is E-Mail notification. When ever some one edited your Google Spreadsheet then you will be notified by the E-Mail.
Docs user Bob Yang picked up on this new feature and created an effective and dead simple video, showing the steps to setting up notification emails for your spreadsheet.
