On July 31,2008 Yahoo announced 10 new features to it’s Map service. New features includes an update to Yahoo! Local Search integration, usability, and Print Page improvements.

1. Improved Local Search integration that utilizes the Search/Direct Display Index
2. More user-friendly Driving Directions - a more user-friendly left rail that’s both wider and more legible (larger text), for easier reading of driving directions
3. A redesigned Print Page
4. The ability to minimize multiple driving direction instructions to save vertical space
5. The ability to display inline turn-by-turn images for each driving direction segment
6. An Interactive Print Page Map
7. Users can now select from a variety map views (full route, full route + finish, full route + start + finish)
8. Drag/Pan/zoom functionality for print page maps
9. Interactivity between Points of Interest (POIs) and Map view; minimized POIs are removed from the map view
10. Improved POIs - with ability to minimize/collapse multiple POIS to maximize viewing area

Hi guys. 3rd August is the Friendship day. Like if I am telling you that its such a big news. Anyways, just wanna wish you all a Happy FriendShip Day. Thanks for being a part of Readeszone. Why I am wishing you happy friendship day is simply because, we the authors of Readerszone, think that all our readers are our friends. You helped us grow since the beginning of this blog, you gave us your valuable comments, your feedback and suggestions. We feel like we owe you all a lot. • In year 1935, US Congress announced first Sunday as the International Friendship Day.
• For women, there is a special friendship day too. It is celebrated every third Sunday of the September.
• Apart from a day, friends have got a weekend in their name too. Best friend’s weekend is celebrated from June 23 to June 25th.
• International Friendship month is February.
• Winnie the pooh, was announced as Ambassador of friendship, in year 1997.

The importance of friends in life, is also depicted in Bible at places. According to Bible,

Adobe has updated it’s online free photo editing tool with a number of new features. Adobe has added total 7 new features in Photoshop Express. Drag and drop image uploading, tagging, one-click resizing , improved printing options, music tracks, refreshed web galleries and an integration with an online photo printing service.  Let’s have a closer look to each of these features.

Image Uploading: Adobe has added Adobe Photoshop Express uploader to it’s online Photo editing service. Express uploaders makes life really easy for uploading images. User can just drag and drop images from their desktop or any other photo applications. Before uploading images users can see thumbnails view of their images.Photoshop Express Image uploader can be used to send images to to Flickr, Facebook, Photobucket and Picasa accounts.

Tagging: Photoshop Express user now mark images with one or more tags. Tagging makes image search really easy. Tagging also makes viewing images accordingly by name, subject or whatever option they want to use.

One-Click Resizing: Photoshop Express get’s updated with one click resizing. Users can resize their images according to preset dimensions  like facebook, mobile,web or email whatever they want to choose.

Print Pictures: Adobe has integrated shutterfly to Photoshop express that makes photo printing really easy and adds a better image printing quality.

Add Music: Photoshop Express now enable users to add music to their sideshows or presentations. Go to settings panel and add your favorite music from there.

Google has updated it’s Map and Earth with fresh new pictures of China. According to Google Official blog  some of the imageries are less then 2 weeks old.

We’ve published brand new imagery of Beijing in time for the Olympics, and that some of the new imagery is less than 2 weeks old! Everyone on the imagery team is very excited to make this data available to you just before the start of the games; it’s very hard to get good satellite photos of Beijing due to clouds and other atmospheric conditions, but our partners GeoEye and DigitalGlobe pulled through and were able to get us some really amazing shots. Some updated areas include Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang, and Quindao — you can check out the new data in both Google Earth and Google Maps.

Image quality is really good and you can see all the places where world’s best athletes compete with each other. Some of the updated areas are Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang, and Quindao.
