Good points. I will also add that people should not give their email ids at any public forum, people just type their id and say please mail me at my id, this is highly dangerous and risky.

As far as social networking safety is concerned, my advice: Quit Orkut. Facebook is better when compared. Orkut also has a lot privacy features now everyone needs to enable them.

Photographs, people should avoid posting photographs online. Though Orkut does not have the right save image as enabled. It still is a piece of cake for anyone with little computing knowledge to get that picture on his comp and do what he wants to with it.

Next is, Common Sense. When it comes to computing a lot of people lack common sense. email ids was one example they register anywhere give mail ids, addresses, phone nos. ‘coz they control their hormones.

Free software is another such thing, people search for cracks and end up clicking things which install viruses. Be original Use original.
