Symantec has announced the official release of Norton Safe Web Beta, A browser plugin for Norton Internet Security 2009. Safe web beta enables users to verify and avoid malicious websites as they navigate. Safe Web Beta informs users to which search results are malware free and which are dangerous. Safe Web also labels websites according to their threat level.
Safe Web Beta is only available for Norton Internet Security 2009 subscribers and the plugin is currently developed for US Users. We can expect the final version of Safe Web at the end of this Winter while the localized versions have a while longer to go until the release.
