Google has released a new software celled Google Apps Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise Server, With this release BlackBerry users can now use Google Mail, Calendar and contacts using the built-in BlackBerry Smartphone applications they already know and love. Microsoft has finally added a feature that will allows Windows Live Calendar users to embed and share their Windows Live Calendar with their friends or embed it into blogs or websites. Google Calendar also offers the same feature but Microsoft took some time to add calendar embed feature into Windows Live calendar. Microsoft calls this feature "A Calendar Badge" this badge can be accessed from any browser because the calendar badge is uses simple iframe. There are date and month arrows for moving forward and backward in time, and the event list shows as many events that fit, starting from the highlighted day.

Last week Google has released the offline access of Gmail and now they have released the Offline access to Google calendar service to Google Apps customers. Google calendar offline access allow its users to view existing schedule and events but not allow to edit or print the calendar.

How to Enable Google Calendar offline Access ?

• Sign in to Calendar.
• In the upper right-hand corner of your account, next to your username, there will be a new ‘Offline Beta’ link. Click this link to start the offline synchronization process.

Google Apps standard users can follow these step to get offline access to Google calendar. Premier and Education Edition, domain administrators will first have to check the box next to ‘Turn on new features’ in the ‘Domain Settings’ page of the Google Apps control panel before their users can enable this option.

After the launch of Google Sync for BlackBerry,Google has now launched the BlackBerry Contact Sync with their Google Sync Service. This new sync service offer a two way communication to BlackBerry users to Synchronize their built in BlackBerry contact list with your Google Apps contacts automatically over the air. Google calendar is Web based calendar service from Google. It works as online hall or bulletin board. Teachers can use Google calendar to invite students to put their events, birthday. One very good capability of Google calendar is to send automatically send reminders this can be very useful for teachers to send test reminders and test schedule to their students.

Google notebook is free service provided by Google. Google notebook provides a simple and easy way to save and organize information while searching or researching over the Internet.  Teachers can use to manager their lectures or lessons on Google notebook. Teachers can easily save images, text or URL’s from their browser to Google notebook. Google notebook offers you to manger several notebooks at once. Google notebook can easily access thorough your cell phones.

Google reader is very useful applications for teachers. Teachers get  automatic updates and feed in their inbox or Google reader. This saves a good amount of time that teachers may waste for searching over the Internet. If teachers are running their own portal or blog then students can use Google reader to get latest updates from their teachers to directly into their inbox or Google reader.

Google Groups are are great way of working in group projects, discussions and sharing useful information with other students and teachers. Google groups can be customized by teachers so that students can take best out of it. Google groups may be best a place for students to share their ideas with others that may not be possible in offline.

Google translate is very easy to use and very useful tools for teachers. Google translate will help teachers to reach out more students across the globe and same with students. Google translate quickly and easily translate web pages, translate search, dictionary and offer other tools. Teachers use Google translate to read articles or journals written in some other languages.

Google scholar is very useful for teachers to search cross many disciplines and sources, peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations. Google Scholar helps teacher to identify the most relevant research across the world of scholarly research.

Google Book Search is very useful tools for searching book categories like categories like philosophy, romance, women’s rights, computer history, short stories, poetry, political science, classics, biology and many other. Using Google Book Search teachers can read, write, preview and purchase books online.

Google Paten search can be used by educators to get useful information about the  graphs, inventor information, issue dates, filing dates and patent numbers for over 7 million items and ideas. Google Patent Search uses the same technology that powers Google Book Search.

Google is working very hard to improve their online office suite programs. Recently Google has added 8 more languages to their Online Calendar. Languages that Google has added are Latvian, Romanian, Filipino/Tagalog, Serbian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Hindi and Indonesian. With these 8 languages Google Calendar now supports total 38 languages.

To use Google Calendar in your preferred language, just sign in, click Settings in the upper right hand corner and look for Language.

I think, Spammers and Phishers are always come with some new idea and targets to spread spam messages. This time they are targeting Google Calendar.  Phishers sending message to Google calendar users to their Gmail Account, With a reference to a legitimate and sender name is Google Customer Care. These messages ask users to verify their account.

According to SANS Internet Storm Center (ISC) spammers are now targeting Google calendar to spread spam messages. Spammers sending spam messages asking for meeting invites.
