Google Docs team has also teamed up with StyleMePretty.com, a popular wedding blog, to add tips from wedding experts to each template. StyleMePretty is also hosting a sweepstakes and asking engaged couples to share their wedding planning experiences. As of March 2010, Google will not support older browsers including Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 for its Google Docs and Google sites services. According to Google, they are stopping the support of older browser because old browsers cannot run many of the modern web application. Web is completely changes its all about web application not web pages or websites.

It think its a good move instead of supporting old web browsers companies should stop their application support for old browsers. These old browsers are also more vulnerable for security attacks. Recently a security flaw in Internet Explorer 6 is used by cyber criminals to steal data from Google Server.

Google encourage you to update your browsers as soon as possible. There are many choices:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0+
• Mozilla Firefox 3.0+
• Google Chrome 4.0+
• Safari 3.0+

In couple of weeks Google will be rolling out ability to upload, share, store and organize any type of files on Google Docs. With this Google Docs users will be able to store and share other type of files on Google Docs. Google will offer 1 GB of free storage for other files with 250 MB file size limit and you can also buy additional storage for $0.25 per GB per year. This makes it easy to backup more of your key files online, from large graphics and raw photos to unedited home videos taken on your Smartphone. You might even be able to replace the USB drive you reserved for those files that are too big to send over email.This storage option can be combined with shared folders, so you can store, organize, and collaborate on files more easily using Google Docs. For example, if you are in a club or PTA working on large graphic files for posters or a newsletter, you can upload them to a shared folder for collaborators to view, download, and print. Google Docs users can also search for document files you’ve uploaded or that have been shared with you just like you do with your Google documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDFs. And you’ll be able to view many common document file types with the Google Docs viewer.

Google Apps Premier Edition users can also use the Google Documents List Data API to upload files to Google Docs in batch, or purchase applications offered by third parties that enable you to migrate and sync your files to Google Docs:

• Memeo Connect for Google Apps is a new desktop application that offers an easy way to access, migrate, and synchronize files to Google Docs across multiple computers. (PC and Mac).
• Syncplicity offers businesses automated back-up and file management with Google Docs. (PC).
• Manymoon is an online project management platform that makes it simple to organize and share tasks and documents with coworkers and partners, including uploading files to Google Docs.

Google added support for translation in Google Docs. Google Docs now supports 42 languages. Google Docs is using same Google translation technology for translating Google Docs. So how to translate Google Docs?

Just start typing in Google Doc when you are done click on Tools menu and select translate. From translate menu you can choose any language to translate your document.

You can replace the original document with the translation or make a new translated version. All the formatting and layout is preserved no matter what language it’s in.

As compare to Google Docs Microsoft office has more features at the same time Google Docs offers a better collaboration and sharing of documents. Google Docs has added some more cool features to its online office suite. Google docs now allow users to preview documents before printing and support 9 more languages. Google Docs is mainly used to share documents with other but some times we also need to print documents when this new feature will be very useful for Google Docs users to preview documents before printing. Some Google Docs users uses Google Docs for viewing PDF files, the new print preview option also work with Google Docs PDF viewer.

Google has made a lot of  improvement with Google Apps this year. Google Inc. has added a new feature that will enable users to find and access their Google documents direct from their desktop. The gadget has associated with a tool for drag-and-drop uploading documents to convert them to Google Docs.  Now this gadget is available to work with Windows and Linux versions of Google Desktop Gadgets, as well as Google Apps work accounts.

Gmail lab has rolled out a new feature from their lab; Gmail users can convert Gmail Email’s into Google Docs. This new experimental feature from Gmail lab converts your Gmail’s Email message into Google Docs with just one click. This new experimental feature will remove the things that Gmail users have to do to make a GoogleDoc from their Gmail message including copying and pasting the text from your email. just open the message you wish to convert, click the “Create a document” link on the right side of the page, and voila, you have a brand new document which you can then modify and share.

To turn on this feature, go to the Gmail Labs tab under Settings, select “Enable” next to “Create a document” and hit “Save Changes” at the bottom.

The Holiday season has come and people can save time and money with the Google Docs template gallery for documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Google has added some 10 new  templates in their Google apps template gallery that will help people whether they are a small business owner or the chief holiday organizer to spread holiday cheer.
