Google Reader Fixes and Tweaks

Google has pushed fixes and Tweaks towards Google Reader. Google Reader is also on Twitter, so people who love Google Reader can follow Google Reader team over the twitter. Google has pushed the following set of fixes and tweaks towards Google Reader

  • Improvements to our rich mobile interface for iPhone, Android and other browsers, including a more compact page header, visual alignment tweaks and a faster loading time.
  • Links on the home page giving you easy access to your recently read and kept unread items.
  • Fixes for some "stuck" unread count issues.
  • Better handling of feeds and items with malformed URLs.
  • Less flickering when using the "Share with note" bookmark.
  • Fixing of errors when deleting lots of tags and folders.
  • Removal of extra image and backend requests, resulting in slightly faster loading times.

5 New Update Comes to Google Reader

Google Reader Google has finally made some updates in Google Reader. Today when I am checking RSS through Google Reader noticed that Google Reader has got some really good updates. Google has updated Google Reader’s look and feel, added a new Collapsible navigation, Hide unread count, friends are promoted and more feed bundles are added. Tools and Applications for Teachers

GoogleCalendar Tools and Applications for Teachers Google calendar is Web based calendar service from Google. It works as online hall or bulletin board. Teachers can use Google calendar to invite students to put their events, birthday. One very good capability of Google calendar is to send automatically send reminders this can be very useful for teachers to send test reminders and test schedule to their students.

Google Notebook Google notebook is free service provided by Google. Google notebook provides a simple and easy way to save and organize information while searching or researching over the Internet.  Teachers can use to manager their lectures or lessons on Google notebook. Teachers can easily save images, text or URL’s from their browser to Google notebook. Google notebook offers you to manger several notebooks at once. Google notebook can easily access thorough your cell phones.

Google Reader Google reader is very useful applications for teachers. Teachers get  automatic updates and feed in their inbox or Google reader. This saves a good amount of time that teachers may waste for searching over the Internet. If teachers are running their own portal or blog then students can use Google reader to get latest updates from their teachers to directly into their inbox or Google reader.

Google Groups Google Groups are are great way of working in group projects, discussions and sharing useful information with other students and teachers. Google groups can be customized by teachers so that students can take best out of it. Google groups may be best a place for students to share their ideas with others that may not be possible in offline.

Google translate Google translate is very easy to use and very useful tools for teachers. Google translate will help teachers to reach out more students across the globe and same with students. Google translate quickly and easily translate web pages, translate search, dictionary and offer other tools. Teachers use Google translate to read articles or journals written in some other languages.

Google Scholar Google scholar is very useful for teachers to search cross many disciplines and sources, peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations. Google Scholar helps teacher to identify the most relevant research across the world of scholarly research.

Google Book Search Google Book Search is very useful tools for searching book categories like categories like philosophy, romance, women’s rights, computer history, short stories, poetry, political science, classics, biology and many other. Using Google Book Search teachers can read, write, preview and purchase books online.

Google Patent Search Google Paten search can be used by educators to get useful information about the  graphs, inventor information, issue dates, filing dates and patent numbers for over 7 million items and ideas. Google Patent Search uses the same technology that powers Google Book Search.
