Hotmail Stop Using DAV Starting from September 1, 2009.

Windows Live Mail and Microsoft Office outlook is going to stop using Distributed Authoring and Versioning protocol (DAP) for Windows Live Mail and Hotmail. if you currently access Hotmail using a desktop mail program like Microsoft Office Outlook, Outlook Express, or Entourage, you may still be using the DAV protocol in these programs, and you’ll need to take action in order to continue getting your Hotmail.

If you use Microsoft Office Outlook, Outlook Express, or Entourage to view Hotmail, the DAV protocol retirement may affect you. To continue receiving e-mail from your Hotmail account in one of these mail programs, please follow one of the recommended solutions below before September 1, 2009. After that date, new E-mail can only be delivered to your mail program through the following alternative solutions.

Windows Live Mail and Hotmail Microsoft has finally start rolling out the support for pop3 access for it’s Email service including Windows Live Mail and Hotmail. With this pop3 support Windows Live mail and Hotmail users will be able to access their E-Mail accounts through a number of E-Mail clients software on their pc or mobile phone.

When you set up Hotmail in the E-mail program on your PC or mobile device, you may be asked for the following information:
