Nokia Rs 500 Mobile Phone Nokia is planning to launch Rs 500 mobile phone in rural India. Nokia has already launched mobile phones available in a range of  Rs 1200 to 1800 with Nokia life tools. The Economic Times reports that these $10 phones will be a limited edition devices with a limited production run. That is something strange because Nokia has been traditionally known to flood its market with low-end devices. Will you buy the $10 phone whenever it arrives?

The Rs 500 mobile phone would be good option for rural India because its cheap and will come with some basic features including 96×68 pixels monochrome display, 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio, MP3 ringtones and even a flashlight.

Nokia launched their latest NSeries mobile phone that is Nokia N97 in India. Nokia N97 is touch screen fully loaded multi media mobile phone. It comes with 32 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 48 GB. Expected price of Nokia N97 is Rs 35,000.

The Nokia N97 is Nokia’s first device to feature a personalizable home screen, which can be customized with a range of widgets which bring live information directly to the device. These widgets include key social networking destinations like Facebook and Hi5, news services like  the Associated Press, Bloomberg and Reuters, as well as shopping and weather information.

Nokia N97 is the first Nokia phone is loaded with Nokia ovi store. In India Nokia Ovi store on N97 will offer a choice of 50 free to download items developed specially for Indian consumers by Indian developers. Nokia Ovi store has paid as well as free content.  Indian users also have access to global content also.

Nokia N97 is also available worldwide starting June 2009.

Symbian S60 Researchers has find out that a new malicious attack is going on specially targeting Symbian S60 mobile phone users. Worm sends malicious website or url links via SMS to all mobile numbers that are present in phone memory or contact list. The malware also tries  to hide its identity via running it under the process called “EConServer.exe” . Symbian S60 malware also kills the Appmngr process also because Symbian S60 Application manager can bed used to uninstall this malicious software just like we can remove any of the software from mobile phone.
