On 14 January 2010 Samsung Electronics released candy bar Shark (S5350), slider Shark 2 (S5550) and Shark 3 (S3550) mobile handsets. All three mobile handsets are fully integrated with social networking websites and have shortcuts to popular social networking websites including Facebook, MySpace, Bebo and other popular social networking websites. At the same time, users can quickly upload to sites that include Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket and YouTube.

Samsung Shark (S5350)

The Shark (S5350)  has a 2.2-inch screen with a 240×320 resolution and sports a 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities. The handset has 3G network support, an FM radio and Bluetooth 2.1. It gets 100MB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card.

Samsung has launched four new Netbook’s at CES 2010 and it seems that Samsung is looking to score big points in terms of energy efficiency. All Netbooks N210,N220,N150 and NB30 are powered by Intel’s N450 central processing unit. The N210 and N220 are able to run for 12 hours, according to Samsung, the NB30 for 11 hours and the N150 for 8.5 hours. These devices will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show this week, and should be available in UK stores later this month.

Samsung Electronics announced that the sales of Samsung Star Mobile phone surpassed the 10 Million mark this month. The Star (model number S5230), launched in May, is the fastest model in Samsung’s history to reach the milestone.

Samsung star is the sixth Samsung Mobile phone to sell 10 million units, other than Samsun star  Samsung T-100, Samsung E700, Samsung D500, Samsung J700 and Samsung E250 surpassed the 10 million mark.

Across Europe, where it was first launched, the Star has sold 5 million units in total.The model has also sold strongly in Latin America (1.6 million), the Commonwealth of Independent States (900,000) and China (800,000). Most notably, the Star has topped the bestseller lists in the United Kingdom, Italy and the Netherlands.

Cisco has announced that their WebEx client software will be available for Smartphone’s including BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve 8900, and BlackBerry Storm from RIM, the Nokia E71, Nokia E75, Nokia N97, and other Nokia Eseries and Nseries, and the Samsung Blackjack II. Smartphone users will be able to join Cisco WebEx Meeting Center web and audio conferences using any of the Smartphone’s.

Samsung Electronics has introduced a 256GB storage capacity compact solid-state drive equipped with a Sata II interface for connectivity and claims that it is the largest-capacity & high reliability  SSD drive  to be offered with a Sata II interface. It is specially & specifically designed for use in notebooks and desktop computer systems without all of its size, noise, power and heating drawbacks.The company Claims that  the 256GB solid state drive is capable of storing 25 high-definition movies, each of 10GB in size, in just 21 minutes.
