Application Security is Also Important
Our thinking for security starts with operating system security, network security or some times we may think about the Internet browser security. while browsing the Internet we only think our antivirus program is updated with latest security updates, firewall is working or not. But all these things solve our security concern, no because there is one more security issue that we have to consider is the “Application Security” means application that running on computer system how secure they are. Latest example is the Flash plugin that help attackers to hack windows vista operating system. Some great steps are taken towards the Network security and operating system security while the steps towards the application security are very slow.
Microsoft has developed Office 2007 using the Security Development Lifecycle method of software development. This means that Microsoft Office 2007 is designed with security in mind.
