Search engine spam is the latest way of getting unwanted traffic on your web site and unwanted advertisements in front of Internet users’ eyes, and it appears to be an overnight success. The key to success of search engine spam is Google like thing I.e. “I’m Feeling Lucky” feature. Now spammers adopted new ways of spam like .PDF files, images, and audio also. Spammers send emails in such way that the body of the message contain the Google search results. Now other things come into the picture.
1. spammers game Google so the Web site they want recipients to visit ranks at the top of the search engine results
2. they alter the URL pasted in e-mails so users who click on the link go directly to the top result via Google’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” feature – bypassing a stop at Google’s Web site.

The technique apparently works. One-fourth of all spam sent in January was “search engine spam,” according to e-mail security firm MessageLabs.
Google says it’s got a fix
Google is being deploying fixes to these issues like I’m Feeling Lucky” and redirects. while messagelabs says that hackers has tried same things with other search engines also but Google is there major target. same sort of things also tried on yahoo and live search engines also.
Tip to handle these issues
Before clicking these kind of link double check the sender identity and before clicking the link just take mouse over the link see what come in status bar if link and the address come in the address bar is same then you may trust these kind of links. I would suggest you to don’t click on these kind of links.
