Back in 2005 Yahoo has started a new service called Yahoo MyWeb to help its users to save valuable information over Yahoo network using Yahoo MyWeb service but in recent years Yahoo is working on Yahoo bookmarks and Delicious .Yahoo want to streamline their bookmarking services so Yahoo is discontinuing Yahoo MyWeb service from 18 March 2009. Yahoo will focus on improving the features of Delicious after discontinuing Yahoo MyWeb.
Yahoo offering three options to MyWeb users to Migrate their bookmarks
- Yahoo Bookmarks: Users interested in private bookmarking can use Yahoo bookmarking. MyWeb bookmarks are already available in Yahoo bookmarks.
- Delicious . Moving MyWeb bookmarks to Delicious is a simple three step process : First, export your bookmarks in XML format and save this file to your computer; second, register for a Delicious account; and third, upload this XML file using the Manual Import option.
- Export: Users can also migrate their MyWeb bookmarks to other third party bookmarking services. To migrate to some other services Yahoo recommend users to use their export tools, which will provide an archive of your bookmarks that is easily readable by 3rd party services and browsers such as Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
